Being A Mother Of A Girl Is Gaining An Accomplice For Life

The day you were born I stopped being my mother’s daughter to be my daughter’s mother. On that day life began for you… and a new life for me as well. I’ve always believed that being a woman is a huge privilege. Above all, women are ambivalent and are always struggling between moods and feelings. On the other hand,  being a mother of a girl is a revealing, overwhelming and surprising experience that makes us confront a “new me” that we have inside of us that we never thought existed.

Cheers, I’m a mother of a girl!

By having a girl, we have a little girl in our arms that since then will rob you of your calm, take your sleep, fill your life with tenderness, details and sensitivity.

This little one will transform into a girl who, regardless of whether she likes the color pink or not,  will carry in her genes the ability to know how to love and hate with the same intensity; since today it is strong on a plane beyond the physical; his strength lies in his great capacity to give and to give himself to others.

You will be thrilled to see your daughter laugh and cry at almost the same time. You will see her be tender, affectionate, sentimental and coquettish, without caring where she learned all this. One day you’ll find her cradling her teddy bear and the next day you’ll see her jumping in mud puddles and her mouth full of melted chocolate.

Every day you will see a new facet of your personality in her. You will be surprised to know and observe that each day is more like you.

One day, faster than you think he’ll want to be like you and he’ll put on his shoes, his necklaces and his makeup. You will fall in love with Dad, but the first example of how to be a woman will be you. You’ll be jealous when you kiss or hug Daddy, but your first friend, confidant and refuge will be you.

It will surprise you to know that the connection that exists with your daughter is so strong and so intimate that they recognize themselves as equal to a single glance. Their complicity comes from this understanding that exists between them, knowing in advance how fickle, intelligent and capricious women can become.

A daughter is both a copy of her mother and a totally different and unique person.

Recognizing in words the love for a daughter is a difficult task. Just thinking about it many women get emotional and let the tears fall. Being a mother of a girl is a blessing. Your daughter becomes your best friend forever: there is no going back. In every gesture, word or reaction there is a part of you that cannot be denied. Buying your first dresses and clothes in pink tones is a very exciting memory.

What does it mean to be a mother of a girl?

Here are some tips for managing your accomplice:

  • You can read a lot with her and choose stories where women play an important role  so you don’t think there are opportunities in life that are out of your reach.
  • When something concerns you, talk to her sitting on the edge of your bed. She will enjoy this close, face-to-face contact very much.
  • If you notice that she’s always the one to give in when she’s among friends, teach her that it’s okay to express her thoughts. That way you will learn to fight for your rights.

Knowing how girls tend to act and learn and what attitudes are usually necessary, encouraging them, will help you to understand your daughters better and educate them in the best possible way.

If you are pregnant and you already know you are a girl, know that today you are the mother of a new woman, but if you are already the mother of a beautiful princess, we hope that you will always know how to find the right words to caress your daughter’s heart , no matter how old she is.

May he find in you the best ally, whether to play together, to get permission from daddy, to have coffee or to fix the world.

Never forget to set a good example for your daughter and that will depend on her being your accomplice for life.
