Childcare Mothers Are Also Working Women

Today there is a dangerous tendency to judge housewives. On March 8, working women’s day was celebrated, with the exception of those who take care of their children at home.
Mothers who take care of children are also working women.

Women who devote themselves body and soul to the home and children are also working women.

Unfortunately, this day’s commemoration has a very tragic history. In 1911, a large group of female construction workers died in a textile factory fire.

They fought only for equality, or better, for the recognition of their rights.

The goal was to achieve improvements in work, regardless of gender or condition. Today, their commitment is remembered on this date as a symbol of feminism.

And then, is it legitimate to consider that those mothers who dedicate their lives to the home are not also worthy of celebrating this date ?

Definitely not. Women who decided and chose this for their lives deserve the same recognition as those who chose to become a professional, discarding, or not, motherhood.

The work taking care of a house and a family is also an arduous task, which has no pay and never ends.

They are women who take care of their children free of charge. They do not receive 13th salary, nor do they have paid vacations. For a lot of people, they don’t even do the math.

However, without them we would not be here. They are some of our mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts and friends. And they all deserve the same respect.

No, it’s not a mitigating factor to stay indoors. They also don’t have a more eventful kind of vacation.

This is something that society must start to assume because mothers who take care of their children are also important women.

They spend their days giving everything for nothing. Disinterestedly, just for love. They can spend an entire journey simply collecting toys and cleaning furniture.

At other times, they feel they are multitasking and don’t stop for a second, running through food, clothing, clutter and children.

Days, even weeks, may go by without having a relationship with an adult person (other than the husband, of course). Really being a full-time mom can be a lot harder than it actually sounds.

Just think about the monotony of each day to realize that it is not a simple job.

Certainly, it is not about competing to see who has more sleep, more dark circles and who sacrifices the most.

In fact, there are mothers who work twice as much: outside and inside. So why not think that all, in their own way, are working women?

In any case, there is another sad reality behind this. In itself, it’s hard enough to find work being a mother.

Many people judge without having lived. Just listen to the testimony of women who dedicated their time to their children and who are now trying to re-enter the labor market.

In addition to the frustration that, above all, implies not finding the work you need, society condemns and points out.

Doubly punished, therefore, for the simple fact of being mothers. By the decision to choose a priority different from other women.

We are all working women

Of course, those mothers who take care of their children must also be considered working women. Whether they receive a salary or not and whether they contribute or not matters little. Does not matter.

Both deserve the utmost respect. The work, whatever it is, dignifies. The function of each and every one of them must be valued. Taking care will never be a minor job, especially nowadays.

Taking responsibility for raising a child is something very difficult and not everyone is up to it. It is necessary to be guided more by patience and by the heart.

Caring is much more than a simple verb. We truly ignore that few people genuinely want to do it.

This action, which in the eyes of many may seem minor, brings with it doses of love that almost no one can feel.

Affection, selflessness, dedication and efforts in high doses. Sleep and tiredness. Above all, sacrifice, a complete surrender to a child.

What people don’t take into account has great emotional value for both the child and the mother. A child who, accompanied in his upbringing, will not suffer any kind of emotional need, something that the whole world will be grateful for.
