If Sincerity Were A Person, It Would Be A Child

Children’s sincerity is a virtually universal trait.
If sincerity were a person, it would be a child

“If sincerity were a person, it would be a child” when a mother reads this sentence she has no doubts. She smiles as she remembers her son’s antics, which has already made her laugh uncontrollably for a long time. Not to mention the occasions when she was in a tight skirt because of her son’s sincerity.

When a child smiles, hugs, takes a stroller or a doll in his hands to build his world, or even when a child says something, he is following the will of his heart.

Being true to the heart is a feat that only the bravest can do. It takes courage to always tell the truth, to be honest. Praise the children and their hearts because their strength encourages them!

A child’s sincerity is not limited to words alone. While it’s true that children tell the truth so naturally that it often turns out to be funny, children’s sincerity is also expressed in their actions.

When a child spontaneously kisses a stuffed animal, it is because they want to show love. She doesn’t care if the pet responds or not. A child gives without expecting anything in return. She hugs because she wants to, cries because she is expressing her feelings. She doesn’t pretend, she’s authentic.

And while children’s sincerity is admirable, it’s also important to know that many of them learn to lie from an early age, either to please or to avoid trouble.

spontaneous sincerity

Sincerity and spontaneity are sisters. This perhaps explains why so much sincerity comes out of children’s mouths. Their minds don’t even for a moment plan what they’re going to say, they just talk and that’s it.

That’s why more than one mother will remember, with flushed cheeks, that phrase her son said and put her in an awkward situation. However, adults also understand that children’s words are not fraught with malice. Sometimes, even if the truth is painful or uncomfortable, it is the truth, and having access to it is always a blessing.

“I stopped smoking thanks to my nephew”, confesses Aura Rosa Castillo, a woman in her 40s, who in a conversation reiterates that children are the most honest people in the world.

One day, Aura Rosa’s nephew refused to hug her because her clothes were impregnated with the smell of cigarettes. The boy approached her and said that he smelled bad and that’s why he didn’t want to hug her. This situation made her so upset that it motivated her to quit smoking once and for all.

The sincerity of a child helped Aura Rosa to improve her quality of life. Since she made that decision, she’s received all the hugs in the world, and most of them come from her nephew.

freedom and sincerity

Children’s minds are free, and so are their souls. This mind is not preconceived nor filled with resentment. So it’s free to love. Children’s minds are not full of lies and falsehoods, they are honest and sincere.

And indeed, when it comes to expressing opinions, children are the most sincere creatures in the world. If you still don’t believe it, ask them something or just talk to one of them:

  • Mom, am I beautiful?
  • Of course my love, you are very beautiful. And I, daughter, am I beautiful?
  • Yes, Mom you are very beautiful. Although those little marks on your face make you look ugly, but I love you anyway.

Sofia’s mother received this honest answer and had no choice but to accept it and laugh. It is natural that behavior that is not faked is charming.

The continual relationship with a child implies that all the mothers in the world agree when someone says to them: “If sincerity were a person, it would be a child”. For them there is no more absolute truth than this. “The children are definitely very sincere, without a shadow of a doubt”, say some mothers.
